The City of Toronto continues to work with all Team Toronto partners to make getting vaccinated against COVID-19 as easy as possible.
As Mayor John Tory announced today, more than 70 per cent of Toronto adults are fully vaccinated and 80 per cent of all eligible residents (age 12 and up) have received at least their first dose. In total, more than 4.2 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered as part of the Team Toronto initiative.
There are more than 30,000 appointments available at City-run clinics for the remainder of the week. All nine City-run clinics are offering walk-in vaccinations for anyone age 12 and older needing a first or second dose of COVID-19 vaccine every day from noon to 7 p.m.: www.toronto.ca/home/covid-19/c
Currently, first dose vaccinations at City-operated clinics are by walk-in only. People wishing to book a second dose appointment can do so through the provincial booking system: covid-19.ontario.ca/book-vacci
Toronto Public Health is reporting 45 new cases of COVID-19 in Toronto today. Since the start of the pandemic there have been a total of 170,659 cases of COVID-19. There are 20 people hospitalized. To date, there have been 3,605 COVID-19 deaths in Toronto. In total, 166,697 people have recovered. Toronto is now in Step Three of the Province of Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopen. As the city progresses through the provincial reopening framework, all people are reminded to continue following public health advice, including practising physical distancing and wearing a mask when physical distancing is not possible.
